High School Education
LifeSource offers a comprehensive educational program about organ and tissue donation, appropriate for students in 9th through 12th grade. Trained volunteers -- usually transplant recipients or donor family members -- bring personal stories and relevant facts into the classroom, making this topic both interesting and compelling.
A typical presentation runs one hour, with interactive discussion, a short video and plenty of time for questions and answers. These presentations fit well with health education, life sciences, and driver education programs.
In those instances when volunteers are unavailable, teen-appropriate classroom materials can be provided. See available materials and submit a request.
