On the Front Lines of Organ Donation.
We are passionate and committed first responders who specialize in the process of organ donation, see transplants reach waiting recipients, support donor families and inspire people in communities across the upper Midwest to register as donors.
One of 56 Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) in the country, we serve the second largest geographical region, focusing on Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and portions of western Wisconsin.
The donation process is a complex symphony of partners all working together in a short time frame. Without support from these partners and the community, this life-saving work wouldn’t be possible.
Susan Mau Larson, LifeSource Chief Strategy Officer
Our success is dependent on a trusted network of partnerships and community participation.
Our team works with nearly 300 hospitals and 9 transplant centers – as well as medical examiners, coroners and funeral directors – in our three-state service area to ensure every donor and family that wants to donate one’s organs, eyes and tissues has the opportunity to do so.
Our team also works closely with driver’s license offices in our region and provides additional education on what it means to check the box. Our DMV partners receive any and all questions surrounding donation; we help them address concerns and assist in driving conversations on organ, eye and tissue donation.
We provide hope, life and healing.
At LifeSource, we’re relentlessly pursuing a day where everyone in need of a life-saving organ transplant, gets one. Scientific advancements, strong partnerships and a “test, learn and adjust” mentality will help us get there.
Our Mission: We partner with communities, families and healthcare professionals to save and heal lives through advocacy and excellence in organ, eye and tissue donation.
Our Vision: Everyone says yes to donation.
Our Values: Adaptability, Accountability, Growth Mindset, Kindness, Trust.
Core Competencies: Expertise. Engagement. Care.
