A “yes” to donation impacts the Mahoney family in more than one amazing way.
LifeSource Ambassadors are the cornerstone of our public education efforts, dedicated to educating the public about the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation and inspiring others to register as a donor and save lives.
More than 250 LifeSource Ambassadors in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and western Wisconsin help us share the life-saving message of organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation.
LifeSource Ambassadors share their donation/transplant story and the life-saving message of donation to inspire others to check the box and register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor.
LifeSource Ambassador opportunities take place in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and western WI and may include:
Thank you for your willingness to share the life-saving message of organ, eye, and tissue donation – it will surely inspire others.
LifeSource is the Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) for Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and western WI, offering three core services:
Donor Family Members, Transplant Recipients, Living Donors, Caregivers, Healthcare Workers, and anyone who has the desire to share the positive message of donation and inspire others to check the box and register as an organ, eye and tissue donor.
Benefits to joining the LifeSource Ambassador program include:
LifeSource does not offer the opportunity to volunteer in a hospital or clinical setting. If you are interested in working directly with patients, please contact a local transplant center for potential opportunities.
Many LifeSource Ambassadors are living donors and/or the recipient of an organ from a living donor. The message is the same – donation saves lives! The goal of the LifeSource Ambassador Program is to inspire more people to check the box and register as a donor on their license or online and your voice can help amplify the message that donors are heroes.
If you are giving a presentation on behalf of LifeSource, please use one of the following PowerPoints (PPTs). Each PPT includes information for each slide in the notes section, links to videos, and a blank slide for you to add your own photos and story images.
We are excited to offer a private Facebook group for registered LifeSource Ambassadors. This private group allows you to connect with other LifeSource Ambassadors at any time, no matter where you live.

Chris Feneis has experienced the power of donation from both sides.
Nikki can live life to the fullest because a hero said yes to donation.
I think my favorite activity with LifeSource is having the opportunity to educate people on the value of being a donor and how they could potentially impact so many others through the donation process. And as I reflect on my own experience as a recipient, I am always in awe and complete gratitude at how my life has been so totally changed through the donation of a liver from my donor family.
