This quilt square represents the hip bone. It was made by Dawn Bell (using an X-ray photocopy of a hip bone.) Jeff Randleman (family upon his death donated all organs and bones) was director of the bone bank (orthopedics) at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
