Staying Home? 5 Ways You Can Help
If you’re not on the front lines, you can still help others during the COVID-19 outbreak.
As we see hospital staff, grocery store clerks, mail carriers and other essential workers put themselves at risk, many of us are left wondering how we can help.
5 Ways You Can Help
Here are 5 ways you can make a big difference in your community without leaving home. Some take less than 2 minutes. Do one or do them all. Every act of generosity helps.
- #ShareYourHeart. Participate in fun, family-friendly activities to celebrate the selfless act of organ, eye and tissue donation and brighten someone’s day during the 30-Day #ShareYourHeart challenge. Running now through April 30.
- Register. With many local DMVs closed, another way people can register as an organ donor is online. This simple step takes 2 minutes and can save lives. Share your decision and encourage friends and family to register too.
- #Couch2Cure: Joining the Be The Match Registry® means volunteering to be listed as a potential blood stem cell donor, ready to save the life of any patient in need of a transplant. Sign up Join.bethematch.org.
- Use your sewing skills: LifeSource is collecting homemade masks for our hospital and funeral home partners in dire need throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Mail them in or drop them off in a plastic bag at:
