Here are some of the donation-related questions you may receive from licensing customers:
People of all medical histories should consider themselves as potential donors. Very few medical conditions automatically disqualify you from donating organs. Even if you’ve had cancer or HIV, medical advances have made donation possible. Don’t disqualify yourself – check the box!
No! The oldest organ donor was 95.
In general, all major religions in the United States support organ, eye and tissue donation and consider it a generous act of caring. Individuals are encouraged to speak with their faith leader for additional information.
It is the hospital’s number one priority to save YOUR life. Your status as a donor is not considered – or even know to them – until every effort has been made to try to save your life. To be considered for donation, a patient must be at the hospital on a ventilator and either declared brain dead or suffer cardiac death.

When someone registers to become a donor they are providing hope to all those on the waiting list to receive a second chance at life.
