Laura Svoboda

I lead a team of Family Support Coordinators (FSC) who meet with families at the time of their loved one’s death to walk families through the decision and process of organ, tissue and eye donation.

My journey to LifeSource is unique. For 20 years I was an acute care occupational therapist and then returned to school to get my master’s in social work. Most of my social work career was focused on supporting cross cultural families who fled their homelands due to trauma, grief and loss seeking a new future in the United States.

I am inspired by the generosity of families who in their time of grief choose to give the gift of life and healing to others. Also am inspired by co-workers who are all working to honor that gift in the best way possible.
