LifeSource and Dakota Lions Sight and Health (DLSH) Announce a New Partnership
MINNEAPOLIS (April 2019) – LifeSource is proud to announce a new partnership with Dakota Lions Sight and Health (DLSH) focused on expanding opportunities for corneal donation and transplantation. This partnership leverages the unique strengths of both organizations and ensures stewardship of the gifts of donation by focusing on efficiencies and quality. LifeSource and DLSH have a long history of working together to facilitate organ, eye and tissue donation, and this partnership builds upon that long and successful history.
Under the new partnership, LifeSource will provide donated ocular tissue to DLSH who will process the tissue and make it available to surgeons for transplantation. LifeSource works with multiple tissue and eye processing partners and is proud to add DLSH, a non-profit Lions-based organization.
Working in partnership, LifeSource and DLSH can ensure donated tissue is prioritized to local recipients and can also focus on increasing public support for organ, eye and tissue donation. LifeSource is based in Minneapolis and provides organ, eye and tissue donation services in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Western Wisconsin. DLSH is based in Sioux Falls, SD and provides tissue and eye donation services in South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota.
