Chelsey Darlene Nielson
January 29, 1988 – September 19, 2009
Submitted by Terri (Chelsey’s mother), Darlene (Chelsey’s grandmother), Kerri and Mary (Chelsey’s aunts)
This quilt square was lovingly designed by Chelsey’s mother, grandmother and aunts. Chelsey’s mother painted the angel, at Chelsey’s request.
Chelsey was a lover of bright colors, her nephew Braxton, her school St.
Catherine and malt-o-meal. She was a free sprit from the moment of her birth and lived life to the fullest. Thanks to her father being an over-the-road truck driver, Chelsey started traveling when she was very young. By 16 she had visited all 50 states.
Chelsey believed that life was a gift to share and expressed her wishes to be a donor. We are grateful to Bob (Chelsey’s lungs recipient) and Kevin (Chelsey’s heart and liver recipient) for contacting us and together with their families, becoming a part of our extended family.
