Emily Stacken
Supporting families
I provide support to donor families; advocate for donors, their families, and recipients awaiting transplants; and collaborate closely with hospital care teams throughout the donation process.
I am a trained Death Doula, gaining my certification through Going With Grace. I lead Communications for the Minnesota Death Collaborative and volunteer for Sholom Hospice. I attended United Theological Seminary and received a Masters of Arts in Leadership. For my capstone project, the Radical Death Series, prioritized issues of racial equity, collective grief, and what it means to embrace death as inseparable from life. Prior to joining LifeSource, I spent eight years working at College Possible, helping to support college access programs and resources for first generation students.
I hold space for families in their grief, increase grief awareness and literacy, support the mission of life-saving work, and honor end-of-life decisions by advocating for our donors, families, and recipients.
