So many moments – big and small led me to this work.
It is my honor to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of an organization with so much purpose and impact. From the first organ donor I supported as a bedside nurse to my dad becoming an eye donor – I truly feel so many moments in my career and personal life led me here.
Prior to joining LifeSource as CEO in December 2022, I served as the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services & Chief Nursing Officer for Hennepin Healthcare, but I began my career as a surgical intensive care unit nurse. Through my leadership roles within Hennepin Health Care and North Memorial Hospital, I’ve partnered with LifeSource in numerous ways to advance organ, eye and tissue donation. Some examples include:
- Involvement in LifeSource’s first Donation After Circulatory Death (DCD) donation case at Hennepin Healthcare in 2004.
- Leadership of Hennepin Healthcare’s Donation Committee.
- Supporting implementation of Donor Memorial Walls at both North Memorial and Hennepin Healthcare (the first two in LifeSource’s 3-state service area).
- Providing critical input through LifeSource’s Board Strategic Planning Process, which led the development of key strategic areas of focus, like hiring a recovery surgeon and establishing a Donor Care Unit.
I’m thrilled to build upon LifeSource’s strong foundation and save more lives, together.
